Yakenohara is a DJ and producer active since the late 1990s. His unique style crosses hip-hop, house, disco, Balearic sounds, new wave, ambient and beyond, earning him wide support.

In addition to his solo work, he has contributed music to video works, commercials and films, developing a broad creative practice. As a DJ, he has appeared at clubs and festivals in Japan and overseas, captivating dance floors with free selections and a warm, open groove.

Moving lightly between underground culture and pop culture, he is one of Japan’s representative DJs and musicians, connecting people and music across eras and genres.
