TSUTOMU & TARZAN

TSUTOMU (Sawagi Festival | nagomi)

TSUTOMU began his activity in 2003 at the now-closed Aoyama LOOP. He is currently a resident DJ of nagomi, a party held at Aoyama ZERO, known for one of the world’s finest room-acoustic sound environments, where music, art and human connection come together.

In 2015, he launched SAWAGI FESTIVAL at Lake Yamanaka and also joined the organizing team of Spring Love Harukaze at Yoyogi Park. SAWAGI FESTIVAL 2017 successfully invited Tappion Soundsystem (Shlømo x AWB x PVNV) from France for their first performance outside Europe, followed by parties centered around the French underground scene with artists such as Francois X, Antigone and Bambounou. In 2019, he successfully merged his project with the art collective #BCTION.

He has provided DJ mixes to Hole and Holland PODCAST, J-WAVE TOKYO M.A.A.D SPIN, block.fm and others. He is also involved in event operation and production for outdoor festivals including GLOBAL ARK, Re:birth Festival, iLINX and Agaitida in Okinawa.

TARZAN (Yamakawa DC)

DJ TARZAN emerged in 2018. Formerly a skater and videographer, he encountered rave culture and began fusing those worlds. His goal is to guide people back toward the wild through music. His intuitive DJ style is psychedelic yet organic, captivating listeners through sound.

In 2019, TARZAN launched NEWTONE at bonobo with his close friend TAKA, rooted in inspiration from Koh Phangan, Thailand. He later met producer DO SHOCK BOOZE of TOTEM TRAXX and became a resident of MEiYOU.

In summer 2019, he made his outdoor debut as ORGANIC DYNAMITE at Re:birth Festival, and has since performed at festivals and club events across Japan including GLOBAL ARK, Brightness, Meeting Point Festival and FUJI ROCK. Since 2020 he has organized outdoor parties as Yamakawa Dance Circle, sharing the joy of nature and music with his community. Since 2021 he has also joined the organizing team of Meeting Point Festival, working to connect and develop scenes.
