RYOICHI KOMAGOME

Born in Iwate, Ryoichi Komagome began DJing in Shizuoka in 1998. In the early 2000s, together with YONE-KO, DJ Masda and others, he launched the party Hamon, exploring techno, breakbeats and electronica. He continues to lead the project while working between Tokyo and Shizuoka.

Centered on minimal dub, industrial techno and breakbeats, he builds organic soundscapes that feel as if the earth and air themselves are resonating. With a play style that values the flow of the floor and the surrounding space, he continues to maintain a distinctive presence in Japan’s underground scene.

He is also known as one of the early organizing members of GLOBAL ARK, and as a DJ who has embodied a sound world that deeply resonates with the natural environment of Nozori Lake.
