RISA TANIGUCHI

Risa Taniguchi is a Tokyo-based DJ and producer active on the global stage. Combining a classical music background with influences from London’s underground scene, she has gained international recognition for her dark, hypnotic techno sound.

Her 2018 debut EP Ambush reached high positions on Beatport’s Leftfield chart and received support from artists including Charlotte de Witte. She has since released music on respected labels such as Second State, Kneaded Pains and MOOD.

In 2024, she became the first Japanese artist to release an EP on CLR, the label run by Chris Liebing. So Loud reached number one on Beatport’s Techno (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic) chart. Through performances at clubs and festivals worldwide, she continues to expand her presence as one of the leading artists in Japan’s techno scene.
