GLOBAL ARK is one of Japan’s most distinctive electronic music projects.

 

More than just an outdoor music festival, it is a cultural movement built upon a unique philosophy and an uncompromising commitment to its ideals.

 

Since its inception in 2012, GLOBAL ARK has embraced a strong DIY ethos, remaining artist-driven and independent while maintaining an alternative approach that stands apart from commercial festival culture.

 

This independent spirit has shaped the identity of GLOBAL ARK throughout the years, allowing it to create immersive environments and high-quality sound experiences in some of the most remarkable natural settings across Japan.

 

At the heart of the project lies a simple belief: the location itself is an essential part of the experience.

 

And in 2026, GLOBAL ARK arrives at what many consider to be the most spectacular location in the project’s history.

 

While most festivals prioritize convenience and comfort, GLOBAL ARK invites participants to embrace a different perspective—one that accepts a degree of challenge and the raw beauty of nature as part of the journey.

 

This philosophy transforms visitors from passive spectators into active participants, encouraging everyone to contribute to the atmosphere and become part of the experience itself.

 

That is the essence of GLOBAL ARK.

 

The venue for this year's edition is Notsuke Lake Campground, a destination widely admired among outdoor enthusiasts and dedicated campers throughout Japan.

 

The camping area surrounding the lake is divided into two distinct locations.

 

The first is the lakeside tent area, home to Ground Area, where breathtaking scenery and deep tranquility come together.

 

Please note that vehicles cannot access the tent area directly. Campers should bring a wagon or cart for transporting their equipment.

 

The walk from the entrance takes approximately ten minutes along a scenic lakeside trail.

 

At the end of the path awaits an extraordinary landscape—vast nature, pristine air, and panoramic lake views unlike anywhere else.

 

The reward for this small inconvenience is the opportunity to experience camping in an environment of exceptional natural beauty.

 

The second area consists of bungalow accommodations scattered around Midnight Square.

 

For those seeking a more comfortable stay, reserving a bungalow is highly recommended.

 

Located closer to the entrance and parking area, the bungalow zone also makes car camping a practical option.

 

The site layout has been carefully designed to accommodate the majority of vehicles within the venue grounds.

 

To preserve the quality of the experience and the environment, attendance will be limited.

 

The full lineup will be announced in mid-June.
